Brand Identity & Logo Design

England Ice Hockey is the National Governing Body responsible for the governance, administration, development and promotion of the sport of ice hockey in England and Wales. The Association oversees grassroots ice hockey, women’s ice hockey, senior ice hockey, para ice hockey and recreational ice hockey. Supporting clubs, players, coaches and officials, schedules and sanctions competitions tournaments and in the interests of promoting the sport of ice hockey.

Logo & Identity

The logomark takes inspiration from Olympic pictograms with fluid shapes and flows, lending itself well to animation. The brand architecture is complemented by flowing shapes from the ice rink itself and goal net meshing.

To retain the brand legacy of England Ice Hockey the existing red colour remains, becoming ‘Heritage Red’. This is complemented with a strong and bold colour palette, adding vibrance and freshness to the new brand, to represent ice hockey as a modern, progressive and a unified sport.
