Brand Identity, Graphic Design for marketing & events

From 2017 to 2020 I’ve been the in-house Graphic Designer at World Sailing (International governing body of sailing). During my time there I was requested to create the identity for a new charity called: World Sailing Trust.

After the launch of the charity, part of my role was to support the growth and success of the trust, delivering any requirements that came up, updating the existing information, creating bespoke presentations, within other responsibilities.

The brief

World Sailing Trust is a global charity established to support sailing in all its forms. It was created in 2018 by World Sailing (the international governing body of sailing), who is uniquely positioned to influence and affect change across the global sailing community. They work to promote participation and access, support young sailing athletes and safeguard our waters for future generations.

The concept inspiration for this new identity was: High End Branding. Simple colour palette inspired in the sea, minimal design and attention to detail, achieving an elegant look & feel, this identity wants to transmit fidelity, professionalism and trust.

Final logo

After all this process, the team at World Sailing decided that it was important to keep a direct link to the main brand on this identity, for that reason, we stayed with the logo + symbol option, using the outlined World Sailing logomark.
